Rasta is now the face of Billabong’s Be The Change You Want In The World environmental campaign which incorporates a range of eco friendly recycled boardshorts and Organic T-Shirts. On a personal level, he is also campaigning to stop the slaughter of whales and dolphins in Japan by enlisting the help of world renowned surfers and musicians to support the cause. His boardshorts feature epic shots of Rasta and the playground he is so adamant about protecting.
The Billabong Rasta Boardshorts are part of the Eco Freindly "5 Million bottles you wont see floating in the ocean" project in which approximately 10 plastic bottles are used to create one pair of boardshorts, which helps reduce the impact we humans have on the environment, especially on landfill. "When it comes down to it, if you have an option to buy a pair of boardshorts that are actually lessoning our impact on the world we live in, the choice is simple," said Billabong freesurfer Dave "Rasta" Rastovich.
