The PX1 is combining key components and materials to produce a surfer's boardshort with unprecedented flexibility, lightness and comfort. The "Zero Gravity (ZG) Infinite" fabric not only has a water repellent coating (H2 Repel) that eliminates absorption and friction but infuses a quad-stretch, the welded seam component creating a four-way elasticity, boosting mobility in all directions. "The welded seams allow you to pull it as far as you want because the welding stretches with the fabric so the seams don't inhibit the stretch of the fabric," says Billabong Europe Merchandising & Design Manager Frédéric Fages. "A lot of technical innovation has been implemented to create something we think is a real improvement in boardshort design." The "PX Infifinite Seams" is the ultimate in stretch welded seam technology : it eliminates all but 2 stretch-welded seams (no stitching), maximizing flexibility and comfort. The featherweight construction is strong and creating a boardshort weighing less than 140 grams, which is 3 times lighter than any other average boardshort.
